Engineering leader · still has a PR open

Andrew Popov

I run small engineering orgs and stay close enough to the code to remember what's actually hard about it. I build things — for work, and for myself.

I'm Andrew. I lead engineering at Kasa — 14+ years across fintech and hospitality, from financial systems to the engineering org itself. Most of what's on this site I built because there was something I wanted to use, understand, or give to someone. I also take on a small number of client engagements off-hours.

Things I build for myself

Production-grade full-stack systems I design, deploy, and actually run for my own use. Personal in subject, but they're how I keep my hands on every layer of the stack.

Alongside the day job I take on a few fixed-scope builds and advisory engagements a year — like Sano, a CMS-driven marketing and inquiry-cart site for an independent jewelry maker, built end-to-end from design through deploy.
